| Wortley Hall's gardens lie mainly to the south and west
of the Hall. Beneath the Hall's south front, the west-east
slope was graded in the mid nineteenth century to form
a set of grass terraces with steps, and a level lawn decorated
with clipped golden yews and focuses on a circular pool
and statue. |
